Step into the time capsule of October 2012, guided by the visionary Rev. Prof Tersur Aben, and witness the birth of TCNN Centre for Continuing Education (CCE). This initial spark, ignited by a thirst for transformative education, would evolve into TCNN College of Education (TCE), a beacon of progress dedicated to nurturing outstanding educators.

In the early days, strategic wisdom led TCNN to embark on the NCE program journey as an affiliate, recognizing the significance of partnering with established Colleges of Education due to initial resource constraints. The journey unfolded through application letters and visits to renowned institutions like Federal College of Education Pankshin and College of Education Gindiri. Eventually, the partnership flourished with the College of Education Gindiri (COEG).

The narrative of progress was marked by meticulous inspections, with Rev. Dr. Jordan Rengshwat spearheading the role of the pioneer Centre Director. As the program expanded, Mrs. Salome Eric and Mr. Zebedee Z. Goni assumed key roles, their dedication shining even amidst part-time commitments.

Transition in leadership heralded a new phase, with Reverend Ignatius Gumir taking the reins in December 2014, infusing fresh energy and direction. The tale continued with the impactful presence of Mrs. Tongriang Noah Daspan, who transitioned from emergency assistance to Assistant Coordinator, embodying TCE’s adaptable spirit.

Fast-forward to December 2021, a pivotal moment as inspectors from the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) evaluated TCE’s growth. This evaluation, with commendations and constructive feedback, culminated in a resounding achievement. In February 2022, TCE received the distinguished status of a fully-fledged College of Education from the NCCE.

Today, approved courses stand as a testament to TCE’s dedication to academic excellence and holistic growth. From humble beginnings to this noteworthy milestone, the journey of TCNN College of Education is a testament to unwavering commitment, resilience, and the unending pursuit of nurturing educators who will shape the future.
